Day 4 at Disney World was a Magic Kingdom marathon!! We originally had a different park scheduled for nighttime, but after Anna enjoyed the snippet of fireworks the other night, we rearranged the schedule to catch the last big fireworks show that Magic Kingdom was having while we were down there. And I am so glad we did, even though it was a late night!!
Today was a little bit different than our other Magic Kingdom visit in that we took the bus directly from our hotel to the park. We also left the stroller at home, for both visits. My back was in agony by the end of the day from wearing the carrier all day, but Magic Kingdom is so much more condensed ride-wise and it was also a lot more crowded, and having the stroller was really not worth the hassle of getting it there and maneuvering it. If you are curious, we stayed at the All Star Sports Resort, which I do not recommend, lol, but it saved us a ton of money so in that regards, it was great.
Anna was thrilled to ride a bus - she loves pointing out school buses at home and this was her very first time on one herself!
After tracking down a quick breakfast, we jumped on some rides that we didn't get to the other day. First up on the list was Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride.
We also walked right on to Steve's favorite Magic Kingdom ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. Anna did great with this one (and Haunted Mansion, although I do think the imagery in Haunted Mansion is a little too scary for her. I have mommy guilt over that one even though she didn't even seem fazed!!). She was highly intrigued with the mist veil that you go through in the beginning of the Pirates ride, and of course, she loved being in a boat!
I didn't get any teacup ride pictures today, Maddie got fussy and I had to feed her.
I am in LOVE with these pictures of Steve and Anna.
After this fun morning, it was time to get back on the bus. Which was essentially Anna's favorite ride of the morning - she gets a little loopy sometimes when she's tired and it makes for some funny pictures.
We just happened to be on the bus at the right time to get this picture! Neat, huh?
After lunch/showers/nap, we got back on the bus and headed back to the Magic Kingdom for dinner and the fireworks show. Anna got to wear one of her new Minnie shirts and she was in a great mood. Minnie shirts = happy toddler, see how that works?
Getting ready at the hotel
There is a stage in Tomorrowland and they were having a big dance party! Anna knew about dance parties because of her friend Carolyn, so she was excited to get out on the dance floor! Throw her pals Goofy and Chip and Dale in the mix and it was a very fun party, indeed.
Shaking the baby booty
We took a breather to go on People Movers, which is a slow train that goes through Tomorrowland.
After a quick dinner and a few more rides, it was time to position ourselves strategically to watch the big fireworks finale. I did have a moment of panic when Maddie and I got separated from Steve and Anna, and although I did manage to find them again, it made me glad that we had pre-arranged a meeting spot in case we got separated.
Starting to tucker out, tired girl
The big finale
I sent Steve off to ride Space Mountain while we waited for the crowds to clear, but I made him take a picture of his three tired girls before he left! Anna and Maddie did great while he was gone, but it was pretty funny because at some point, it started to rain and I thought, "crap"...and I'm trying to get two sleepy cranky girls to somewhere covered before we all got totally drenched. I was beyond relieved to look up and see Steve standing there - he sprinted across the park to get back to us as soon as he felt it sprinkling! Good job, Daddy :-)
This day was pretty much a perfect day at Magic Kingdom - looking back at these pictures makes me want to get everyone all packed up and go right back again!
