We had a very relaxing, quiet Easter at home this year, and it was wonderful to reconnect as a family and just chill at home. Steve's busy season is always a hectic time for us and quiet time at home together is very much cherished.
This post is going to have way too many pictures, but I just can't help it. I love them all!
The day started off with a box of goodies from Poppy and SuSu. Anna appointed herself Chief Present Opener.
Maddie joined in the fun too! Maddie got a new elephant toy, which Anna promptly swiped. She is a little obsessed with elephants right now.
Anna had a lot of fun digging through her Easter basket. Bubbles were the obvious highlight, but she also got some new hair bands, some fruit snacks, a chocolate bunny, a new book, and a ball.
Maddie got her very first Easter basket too. She got some puffs, mum mum crackers, a new headband, and a couple of new teethers.
Then we wheeled out a surprise present - I guess the Easter bunny wanted to give Anna something new to play with outside! Anna was so delighted and immediately set to work decorating her new trike with some Easter stickers.
While Anna and Daddy played with her new trike, Maddie and I took some pictures with her new headband. She is such a gorgeous little baby!
This picture makes me laugh!
Steve had requested egg dying kits from the store, and I have to admit that it never even occurred to me to try egg dying this year. I am so glad that Steve suggested it! Anna had so much fun dipping the eggs and seeing them change color.
After egg dying, Anna wanted to plant the mini garden pots that Poppy and SuSu had sent in their Easter box.
After naps, it was time for more trike and an attempt at getting an Easter photo of my girls in their matching dresses. Anna was thrilled to get to hold the baby again.
We moved outdoors for an egg hunt with Daddy, and Anna made sure that we remembered the bubbles and the trike!
Steve convinced Anna that tennis shoes were maybe better for egg hunting than princess shoes.
Easter bunny needed a break.
If you have a 2 year old and are near a Target, you need to RUN and buy this bubble thing. It was the best part of her Easter basket.
Our outdoor play session came to an abrupt halt when Anna fell and skinned her knees, poor thing. It also started to sprinkle, but we were glad to get an hour to play in between the rainstorms!
Ending a wonderful Easter by taking an egg inventory. With pirate band-aids on the boo-boos!
Happy Easter, everybody!
