We took our family up to our first lake visit of the summer these past two weeks. Steve's parents' lake house is in the North Georgia mountains and it is SO pretty and relaxing. We grudgingly admit that we bit off a little more than we could chew, traveling with these two little ones (both of whom we suspect have another round of ear infections), and we ended up throwing in the towel and coming home a few days early. But we did have a whole bunch of fun in the meantime and we look forward to going back again soon!
Captain Anna loved beeping the boat horn, even when parked at the dock
Waving to Poppy and Kristy on the jet skis. Anna got a kick out of having her very own rocking chair up there!
Watching Daddy on the jet skis, or as she called them, the "baby boats".
Watching the rain in Helen, where Daddy went tubing for his birthday.
This ice cream cone was pretty much the only light at the end of the tunnel for getting these two through that mountain drive. Never freaking again.
Morning reveille for the sleepyheads
Maddie didn't like all the horn blowing so Anna rushed over to reassure her "'S okay baby, 's okay!"
Puttering around the cove
Putting the baby to sleep on our hike at Vogel State Park
There was a pretty little creek next to the playground and we couldn't resist letting the girls dip their toes in the water.
Cheering Poppy on the waterskis
Daddy's turn! Anna loved doing the countdown to make the boat go - 3 2 1 go!
