We had several major differences between this trip to Disney and our trip in December. It was MUCH hotter pretty much the entire time we were here, and it was also much more crowded. The other complication was that Maddie is much more mobile now. I very quickly abandoned the idea of carrying around my big Nikon...I am kind of bummed about it because I love how many neat pictures one can take down at Disney, but my phone did a decent job and Steve and I really did have our hands full!
Anyway, for our second day down at Disney, we started our morning at Animal Kingdom. Anna loves this park and it's a fun one to visit with the girls.
The bubble guns made a reappearance - do y'all remember this from our last trip? Anna sure did! This kept the kiddos entertained while Steve and Kristy hopped on Everest.
Riding the dinosaurs - I managed to sneak Anna my sunglasses, poor girl.
I had about ten different versions of this picture and we didn't manage a single one with everyone looking at the camera at the same time, haha. Close enough, right?
Flamingo-spotting on the safari. Flamingos are currently a favorite animal in our house.
Maddie loved marching all over the park in her new shoes.
We splurged on lunch at the Rainforest Cafe - the girls were in heaven!
After a rest at the hotel, we boarded the boat to Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom is decked out in their fall decorations this time of year - Anna was delighted with all of the orange flowers.
Off to see the castle!
Anna picked out this cute light-up Minnie toy and it kept her entertained the whole night. It was sweet to watch her with it too - she kept trying to show it to other kids in line. She even insisted on taking it on the teacup ride!
Y'all remember that Magic Kingdom had finished a lot of their new Fantasyland the last time we were down there. I love this circus area - I think it's so creative and well-done. Anna had a blast cooling off in the circus train fountains.
Steve would race Anna to touch the peanuts on the side of the elephant car, and Anna would squeal the entire time. Both of them were soaking wet by the time they were through!
We were all having such a good time in Fantasyland that we didn't make it too far to the other side of the park. The girls were worn out though - we had just enough time to get them bathed and changed before they both conked out for the night!
