A Day at the Fair

Atlanta plays host to a Renaissance Fair every year, and we have enjoyed taking the girls. This was a particularly fun year to go - the weather was perfect and the girls were really into exploring everything. We always take advantage of their 2-tickets-for-the-price-of-1 special that they run on Opening Weekend, and the girls surprised us by lasting for almost 6 hours. I think it's safe to say we got our money's worth out of this day!!

Maddie has been very anti-stroller lately so we have been letting her wear Anna's old monkey backpack leash. Luckily she loves it just as much as her big sister used to!

The warm day and the crowds were starting to get to the girls, so we stopped for an icy treat.

On our way out of the festival, Anna took my hand and asked very sweetly for one more ride on the carousel. How could I say no? She had the little ride all to herself, so the attendant kept her company.

We were glad that we were able to take the girls this year...Steve and I were both laughing that a lot of the things we remembered from our school field trips here seemed to be the exact same, even 20 years later! All in all, the Georgia Renaissance Festival is a great day for people watching, for helping our girls learn new things, and getting everyone out into the sunshine and fresh air. We look forward to going again next year!
