Picture Post!

I have a few cute pictures to share, enjoy!

Not really sure what's going on here, but it's a funny picture, regardless.

Both girls love to grab onto these rings and wind themselves up so they can spin around really fast.

The climbing dome often double-functions as either a castle or a jail, depending on the day. This day, the dome was a jail, and Anna and Maddie escorted Daddy in and told him he had to sit down and be in time out.

And somehow time out devolved into being a step stool.

We have been outside almost nonstop since the weather has been so pretty. Except for the girls' Spring Break, during which it rained almost the entire time!!

Steve getting ready to unpack some exciting new corals for the saltwater tank - doesn't he look like a kid on Christmas??

Our neighbors who used to live down the street came back and visited, so we brought the girls over to play and catch up. The girls love getting a chance to play with Emily, who gets home so late from school now that they rarely see her. And they were quite entranced with "Big Maddie" - they weren't really old enough when the Browns moved to know Maddie very well, but now the girls keep asking when she is going to come back and play with them again!

Funny Bunnies

We were thankful to have beautiful weather for Easter weekend, and for our neighborhood Easter egg hunt!

This is how Maddie likes to hunt eggs - straight from Anna's basket! Anna is so sweet though, she never minds. If anything, she kept coming over and looking in Maddie's basket to make sure she had plenty!

Neighborhood egg hunt aftermath.

I volunteered at Anna's preschool Easter party, so the next few pictures are from that. It's so cute being able to spend time with them at school!

The school had a big basket of empty eggs that each class used - we hid the eggs all over their playground and once a kid collected 14 eggs, she could trade them in for a prize.

We did our own egg hunt at home too so Steve could get in on the fun. He is in the full throes of tax busy season by the time Easter rolls around every year, so it's an incredibly laid back day for us, and we do the egg celebrations closer to dinner time so he can be done with work for the day.

And yes, we're using gift bags as baskets, because their real baskets were filled up and waiting inside to be found! Improvisation at its finest.

Their Easter baskets were stuffed with coloring books, bubbles, chalk, princess wands, Frozen undies for Maddie who wanted some just like Anna's, and of course, chocolate Easter bunnies.

If there was ever a chocolate bunny speed eating contest, my girls would win it, no question.

Apparently the Easter bunny left something for Stevo, too. He spent the rest of Easter shooting everyone from across the yard. Anna thought it was hilarious.

The Easter bunny even thought to bring Captain K a little gift, too.

The nice thing about having our Easter celebration so late in the day is that it's closer to cocktail hour. Happy Easter, indeed!
