Snow Bunnies!

Poppy and SuSu recently purchased a BEAUTIFUL house in Park City, Utah, and we got a chance to go visit over New Year's. The girls got to take their very first airplane ride (we swear they were more excited about that than our Disney trip!!) and were, of course, thrilled.

The plane ride actually ended up sort of a disaster. We got delayed at the gate for 2 (!!!) hours while they fixed something, so despite being an early morning flight, we didn't even take off until almost lunch time. Then, they ran out of food, so they had a plane full of hungry people. I luckily claimed the last of the meals, so the kiddos got to eat. And the flight attendants very nicely gave everybody free drinks, which kept the adults in a good mood. Then, poor Anna's cold caught up to her near the end because her medicine wore off, and she just ended up sleeping on my lap. We were SO proud of the girls for behaving as well as they did - we ended up being on that airplane for over 6 hours.

We arrived at the house to a flurry of snowballs, and the girls were so excited to see so much snow - more than they've ever seen in their lives!

Anna got a huge kick out of the snowball makers. And she keeps claiming that having a snowball fight with me was one of her favorite memories from the trip!

Eskimos!

Poppy and SuSu have a perfect sledding hill right behind their house, so the girls had several sledding sessions.

We all took ski lessons the second day we were there. Maddie lasted about halfway through the lesson before she escaped for some hot chocolate with SuSu, but Anna LOVED it and wanted to go every day. I was so impressed with her, and with how quickly she caught on.

These huge icicles are certainly something we'd never seen in Georgia.

We actually ran out of ice the last night we were there, so Daddy came to the rescue and knocked off an icicle for us. The girls were positively gleeful over this!

As you can tell, we had a total blast in Utah, and we can't wait to go back again!
